Day 18. On my walk to work one evening in May last year I became fascinated by the
overgrown hedgerow. My aim with this photo wasn't to focus on the actual objects in the image - neither the colourful flowers struggling to thrive amongst the rampant brambles and nettles, nor the setting sun. I wanted simply to invoke a feeling of a summer evening, the warmth of sunlight on skin, glowing shades of gold and green complimented by soft muted pinks, even that summery scent of flowers and freshly cut grass. A gentle visit to happy memories, or dreams of the summer that is soon to come.
I have yet to start giving my images proper titles, but this one would most definitely be titled Summer Evening Warmth, and I hope that is the feeling you get when you look at it.
